Security Training Programs

Bio Security

IDA Bio Security programs protect the economy, environment and people’s health from pests and disease. It involves the prevention of pests and diseases from entering environments, and supporting the control if outbreaks occur. While robust response arrangements are in place to combat outbreaks, preventing pest and disease incursions with detector dog barriers is extremely efficient and effective. As with all our programs the dogs are located at high risk pathways to ensure measures are maintained.

Border/National Security

IDA plays an important role in protecting Australia and international borders from the entry of illegal and harmful goods. Detector dog teams are trained to search illegal contraband in luggage, parcels, mail, cargo, vessels, vehicles, aircraft and on people. These programs consist of border searches between countries for all agencies responsible for the countries border security such as, Army, Police and agencies alike.

VIP Protection Dogs

We provide services for specific events and/or programs. We train these dogs to enhance the safety of identified personal being, delegates, high profile individuals, or for corporate engagements. The dogs provide close personal protection, venue clearance searches and are a high visual deterrent. The obedience of these dogs are at a high standard with trained disciplines to ensure control is obtained in all scenarios.

Patrol Dogs

The use of patrol dogs provide a high visual deterrent and can provide security for site boundaries, handler protection (criminal apprehensions), criminal / thieve searches and clearances. These dogs are generally multi skilled and can provide various activities based on client needs.

Program Enhancements

IDA provides specific training platforms based on department request for enhancements to their canine operation. Such projects can focus on:

  • Increasing the dogs search ability
  • Operational deployment strategies
  • Officer recruitment and selection, breeding stock
